BARIATRIC SURGERY
Thanks to our collaboration of a medical member SICOB (Italian Society of Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Diseases), with our team of specialists, specialised in diseases associated with obesity, Polispecialistico Lambrate is a centre where an obese patient is followed in a holistic, fast and efficient manner.
We have modelled a structured a path, specifically adapted to the needs of individuals whose BMI (body mass index) manifests a critical value, i.e. greater than 30. We offer a complete diagnostic and therapeutic service, without access restrictions – short waiting time for specialist consultations with no danger of looming over long waiting lists, or of not being followed up periodically.
The referring surgeon is a specialist in General Surgery, Emergency Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, and is an expert in ultrasound diagnostics, particularly in individuals with a high BMI, and is part of the bariatric surgery team at the Operating Unit at Humanitas San Pio X Hospital, in Milan.
Therefore, medical surgical visits are carried out to evaluate obese patients who could benefit from bariatric surgery, nutritional visits and psychological consultations. All steps are articulated between them in order to respect the specificities of each individual patient, to obtain optimal results in the pre and post-operative phases.
