FOOD INTOLERANCE
PANELS FOR EXAMINATIONS FOR FOOD INTOLERANCES ON BLOOD
Tests based on venous blood sampling
These tests measure the content of IgG class immunoglobulins, responsible for delayed immune-mediated allergies (or food intolerances).
The panels available are:
- FOOD IgG 20
- FOOD IgG 40
- FOOD IgG 70
- FOOD IgG 109
- FOOD IgG 120
With tests to analyze up to 109 foods and in addition to the report, food cards will be delivered with advice and information relating to the foods to which you are intolerant.
The intake of these foods is recommended to be suspended from one's diet for about 4 weeks. After this period, the foods can be reintegrated gradually on alternate days. *
With the new FOOD IgG 120 test, in addition to the report, a food exclusion plan is delivered (not a slimming diet); that is, those foods are excluded from the diet towards which it was found intolerant.
After a period of about 4 weeks, they can be reintegrated gradually or every other day. *
Delayed IgG-mediated allergies (or food intolerances) are pathologies characterized by the production of IgG antibodies against one or more foods.
Usually the foods involved are those that are introduced with the diet more frequently and in greater quantities
People with this form of allergy can develop one or more of the following disorders:
Gastrointestinal disorders:
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Abdominal pain
• Diarrhea
• Constipation
Respiratory disorders:
• Rhinitis
• Bronchial asthma
• Sinusitis
• Dyspnea
Dermatological disorders:
• Acne
• Eczema
• Itching
• Psoriasis
• Hives
Neurological and psychological disorders:
• Headache
• Migraine
• Itching
• Dizziness - Hyperactivity
All these disorders, in general, tend to become chronic and do not disappear except with the complete elimination of the responsible foods.
One aspect that is often confused is that these forms of intolerances have nothing to do with lactose intolerance or celiac disease.
Tests for food intolerances cannot in any case provide information on these two intolerances.
In fact, in such cases it is necessary to resort to specific analyzes such as: genetic tests, Breath test for lactose intolerance or antibody tests for celiac disease.
* for a complete assessment of your state of health it is preferable to consult an allergy specialist or a nutritional consultant (biologist, nutritionist, dietician)
