ENDODONTICS
Endodontics is the dental discipline that takes care of the endodontium, that is the internal space of the tooth occupied by the so-called pulp tissue consisting of cells such as odontoblasts, blood vessels and nerve endings.
Endodontic therapy (root canal treatment or devitalization) is necessary whenever the pulp of the tooth is infected or inflamed due to a deep carious attack or traumatic injury.
